Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow.’ – The Children’s Day celebrations at Tula’s opened with these beautiful lines penned by Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru along with a plethora of scintillating programs presented by the teachers for their beloved students. The programme commenced with a few lines of famous peppy number of yesteryears ‘Ham Bhi Agar Bacche Hotey’ by the compere who then lead the programme forward with a Hindi song sung by Ms Shivani. Then Ms Tabassum sang an English number. This was followed by a rap song by Ajay Sir, the music teacher. Dance by Shivani Ma’am Anjali and Mr Siddhartha regaled one and all. Mr Raman Koushal Vice Principal of the school also sang a song for the students ‘Phir Wahi Raat Hain’ which won him large round of applause. He also joined in with
faculty members Mr Sandeep Dutta, Mr Sunil and Mr Joshi to sing ‘Papa Kehte Hein Bada Naam Karega.’ Then Mr Ketan regaled everyone with his dance moves on Khalibali. ‘The Advika Duo’ group comprising of Tula’s music teachers Mr Atul and Mr Sanjay mesmerised everyone with their band presentation. Further Mr Sanjay also gave a solo presentation. The programme concluded with the grand finale dance by dance teacher Mr Vipin. Students could not curtail their excitement and joined him to shake a leg. Students were also awarded prizes which were sent by the All India Citizens Development Centre, Maharashtra, for All India Drawing, Handwriting and Essay Writing Competition. Director of the School Mr Raunak Jain addressed the students on the occasion. The day was full of pleasant surprises of students with their favourite delicacies served in the dining hall. In the evening children enjoined the DJ Night wearing their dancing shoes.
